Mikaela Rojas has joined Missouri Farmers Care as a Communication Specialist for the summer of 2025. A recent graduate of Moberly Area Community College who is passionate about sharing the story of agriculture, Mikaela will begin a new chapter this fall at the University of Missouri, where she plans to major in general agriculture and minor in journalism. This summer, she is excited to serve Missouri Farmers Care and help share the impactful stories of Missouri’s farm families and agricultural community.

Born and raised on a commercial cattle operation in Linn County, Missouri, Mikaela discovered her love for the agricultural industry through exhibiting cattle at local, state, and national shows. She remembers early mornings and late nights making memories with her family. The time she spent in the barn taught her lifelong lessons in discipline, work ethic, and perseverance.

Last year, Mikaela had the honor of serving as a Missouri State FFA Officer. In that role, she traveled the state, engaging with students and helping inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders. Through these interactions, she discovered a strong passion for education and was continually inspired by the curiosity and enthusiasm of the students she met. Mikaela’s favorite role while serving for Missouri FFA was creating content and boosting engagement on the organization’s social media pages.

“For as long as I can remember, written and verbal communication have been a huge passion of mine. This internship allows me to combine that love with my background in agriculture. I am genuinely excited to share the stories of hardworking agriculturalists this summer,” Mikaela said.

Mikaela is eager to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact in the agricultural industry she loves.
