Linn County Earns Agri-Ready Designation, Partnering To Build A Strong Future For Local Agriculture
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Linn County, Missouri has officially earned Agri-Ready County Designation from Missouri Farmers Care, joining counties across the Missouri committed to supporting agriculture and the farm families who help sustain Missouri’s economy and rural way of life.
With this designation, Linn County becomes the 82nd county in Missouri to stand with agriculture through Agri-Ready County Designation. The designation highlights county leadership that recognizes agriculture as not only an economic driver, but a defining part of their local identity.
From family farms that span generations to the agribusinesses that support them, agriculture is deeply rooted in Linn County. Becoming Agri-Ready Designated is a visible way for the county to acknowledge that legacy while also looking ahead to the future of farming and ranching in the community.
“Agriculture plays a vital role in Linn County’s economy by supporting jobs, small businesses and local tax base," said Linn County Commissioners Nelson Dinsmore, Josh Muck and Glen Murrain. "By becoming Agri-Ready Designated, we are reinforcing that farming and agribusiness are essential industries here, and we are committed to fostering an environment where they can grow and succeed. The Agri-Ready Designation reflects a shared commitment between Linn County leaders and the agricultural community to ensure farming and ranching have room to thrive. Through visible support and ongoing local engagement, Agri-Ready Designated Counties help create an environment where agriculture builds on its heritage and strength to help create strong communities tomorrow.
Local leadership played a key role in bringing the Agri-Ready Designation to Linn County, recognizing the importance of ensuring agriculture remains a strong and supported part of the county for generations to come.

Agri-Ready County Designation is hosted by Missouri Farmers Care, a joint effort by Missouri's agriculture community to stand together for the men and women who provide the food and jobs on which our communities depend.
