Missouri 4-H continues its partnership with Feeding Missouri and the Missouri Farmers Care Drive to Feed Kids with its 4-H Feeding Missouri campaign. To date, efforts have raised more than 400,000 meals to feed Missourians. The third annual food drive runs from January through April with a goal to raise 500,000 meals.

For the past two years, the Fordland Mighty Eagles 4-H club of Webster County has raised the most meals in the friendly service-learning competition. In this episode, Fordland Mighty Eagles 4-H club member, Lucas Alexander, and his mom, Emma, join us to talk about what has worked well for their club and what opportunities they are planning to do this year to help raise awareness about food insecurity in the Show-Me State.

New this year, Missouri 4-H clubs can apply for $300 matching mini-grants to assist with local efforts through a donation offered by Missouri Farmers Care Foundation. For more information about the campaign, matching mini-grants and how to get involved, visit 4h.missouri.edu and click on the 4-H Feeding Missouri button.
